Today I am going to talk about UI and UX, about why they are important, and why we have to know this as a frontend developer. I have a background in interior design, which makes me familiar with a design way of thinking. My background makes me really enjoy the details of frontend work, and learning UX and UI design is also a lot of fun to me.

UI and UX both are working together and important for design.

What is UI?

UI stands for the user interface, the part that allows the user to interact with the product. It focuses on design, for example, screens, platforms, menus, forms, image placement, text size, keyboard buttons, sounds, even lighting, etc.

The main idea of UI is to make the website look clean, attractive design that is easy to understand, easy to use, standardized, and user-friendly. It must also have an interesting function. There is a visual language that makes people feel like using them. And most importantly, it must be unique and outstanding.

What is UX?

UX stands for the user experience in response to the use of various products or systems, for example, convenience, ease, and fun to use, which results in maximum satisfaction or a good user experience.

So, on the other hand, user experience or UX is evolving as a result of UI improvements, when there is something for the user to interact with their experience. Whether it’s positive, negative, or neutral, it can change the way users feel about those interactions, so UX is a point of research and understanding of what the user wants, how satisfied they are, or who their target is.

The difference between UI vs UX

UI — If we want to design a website design pattern. Choose the font color, the size of the theme, the background, the mood & tone of the website, the theme used, or even use the famous website as an example for the aesthetic design. All of these are classified as (UI).

UX — Basic functionality to use the website such as content categorization, contact channels, user interface with convenient platforms, quality search functionality, etc., even adding functions that meet the needs of specific users everything above is called (UX).

I hope this clears up the importance of UI and UX. Honing these skills is a big plus when you become a frontend developer, both the aesthetics of UI and the functionality of UX are fundamental in customer satisfaction, and these little details are essential when designing a successful web page.
